Cost‐effectiveness analysis of delgocitinib in adult patients with atopic dermatitis in Japan

Objectives This study evaluated the cost-effectiveness of delgocitinib relative to moisturization therapy in adult patients with moderate severe atopic dermatitis. Methods The analysis was performed by using simulation model patient-level data from a phase 3 and its longterm extension (QBA4-1 Study). conducted Japanese public healthcare payer's perspective included only direct medical costs. Health outcomes were quality-adjusted life years. time horizon one year no discount rate applied. In this model, health states divided into four according Investigator's Global Assessment score. determined incremental ratio willingness-to-pay threshold 5 million JPY/quality-adjusted A probabilistic sensitivity evaluate uncertainty each parameter used for analysis. Results Total cost years gained 358,810 JPY 0.867 delgocitinib, 85,890 0.798 therapy, respectively. estimated be 3.92 probability vs being below JPY/quality adjusted 79.1%. Conclusions Delgocitinib rated as cost-effective treatment adults Data comparing drug reducing inflammation is required.
